The Elmhurst Airtightness Scheme (EAS) is a scheme created for companies (including sole traders and partnerships) that carry out airtightness testing activities and to provide reassurance to clients that the work is carried out to a high degree of quality and integrity.
EAS was formally known as the Independent AirTightness Testing Scheme Ltd (iATS). The management of iATS was transferred to Elmhurst Energy Systems Limited in June 2017, and the scheme was rebranded on the 6th June 2022. Elmhurst is the leading provider of energy assessment training, software and accreditation in the UK.
The scheme has been authorised to operate as a Competent Persons Scheme (CPS) for airtightness testing since 18 April 2015.
